Types of Consultative Services
Trainings
HAP conducts statewide and/or regional trainings that are designed to enhance a SHIP's capacity to effectively deliver community-based education and personalized counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries. Trainings may address a substantive area, such as Medicare Part D, Medicare Appeals, or Medicare Advantage, or a programmatic area such as volunteer program development. HAP's unique training modules allow SHIPs to not only receive the most up-to-date information, but also provide ample opportunities for SHIP staff to apply the information to their work by using interactive methods such as case studies and role playing.
HAP develops customized training materials to address the specific environment in which your SHIP operates, and can deliver the training either in-person or through a webinar. Strategic Planning Workshops
HAP conducts workshops to help your program engage in strategic planning initiatives to address a programmatic area that you would like to develop or strengthen. HAP has experience in conducting environmental scans, needs assessments, outcomes planning, and communications planning. SHIPTools
SHIPTools is a customizable web-based management system that allows SHIPs to manage and track volunteer performance, train team members, and support beneficiary outreach activities. The cost of developing and implementing SHIPTools is based on a sliding-scale fee, which corresponds to the amount of effort involved in site administration and maintenance. HAP's philanthropic support allows us to offer SHIPTools at a considerably reduced rate to SHIPs based on this sliding scale.
