Retaining SHIP volunteers from one AEP to the next sometimes can be a tricky task. It depends upon many factors, such as good volunteer management, recognition, and the fit between volunteers and their roles.
But, taking proactive steps to retain SHIP volunteers can be well worth the effort. In fact, it usually takes less effort to retain current volunteers than to recruit new ones!
