HAP's New Medicare Training Manuals

HAP is proud to announce the launch of its newest set of Medicare education and training tools — the SHIP Resource Guides! Each Guide covers a topic in Medicare basics, Medicare Advantage, or Part D, and each is designed for counselors and trainers alike.

The Guides contain not only the latest in Medicare information, resources, and references but also provide abundant practical examples, real world scenarios, and tips on "where to learn more."

The SHIP Resource Guides reflect the latest MIPPA-related changes to MA and Part D plan marketing rules, Medigap standardization, MSP eligibility, and much more. They also contain links to other information resources from CMS and the Kaiser Family Foundation, as well as samples of important forms needed for counseling sessions.

We invite you to use each of the three SHIP Resource Guides in your work and to share them with SHIP staff and volunteers. The SHIP Resource Guides can be found on HAP's website, and starting in May will also be available to SHIPTools users as part of their online training component.
