HAP has developed four new information resources in response to your feedback from our recent "Mining Medicare's Manuals" webinar. We hope our new information tools and tip sheets will be useful in navigating CMS's web-based manuals and will provide the research skills support that you need in your day-to-day counseling work.
Searching CMS's website for answers to tough questions can take time. After our webinar, some of you asked for tools that would be helpful to SHIP counselors as they start to "mine Medicare's manuals" for answers. One person who responded to our follow-up survey requested written instructions for finding the manuals. Please feel free to use these tools in your own work, and to share them with others in your SHIP. They include:
