Counseling Training On-the-Go:
"Make More of Your Mileage"

Each year as part of its Collaborative State Projects, HAP partners with four SHIP programs to develop and implement innovative and customized capacity building initiatives. The Collaborative State Projects also generate replicable tools and techniques that can be used across the SHIP network. We developed one such product as part of the 2008 - 2009 collaboration with Montana, and are excited to share it with the entire SHIP community.

Make More of Your Mileage: Medicare Advantage Counseling Scenarios is an audio tool HAP created for counselors with significant "windshield time." The CD presents two scenarios that walk counselors through common situations with beneficiaries who may be interested in enrolling in Medicare Advantage. While these scenarios are set in Montana, we are confident that they will be equally useful to counselors across the SHIP network. And some of you might have received a copy of this CD at last week's SHIP Directors Conference.
