Updated: HAP's August Conference Call Page

HAP received considerable feedback from SHIPs after last week's conference call, Strategies and Tools to Help Your QMB-Eligible Clients. The SHIPs were interested in learning more about the topic and in sharing their experiences around QMB and Medicare cost sharing. In response, HAP has gathered some resources to help you better assist QMB-eligible beneficiaries.

On the August conference call page, you'll find a link to the audio of the conference call, as well as the SHIP Shout Out feature. During the SHIP Shout Out segment of the call, a number of SHIPs talked about the challenges they're facing in their states on this issue. This month's Shout Out page provides a place for SHIPs to learn more about the issue and share solutions with SHIPs in other states.

Thanks to the considerable interest that SHIPs have expressed in this topic HAP's September conference call will again focus on QMBs. We will discuss the actions that individual SHIPs at the local and state level can take to assist their clients.

In preparation for the September conference call, we ask that you take a moment to fill out HAP's QMB State Survey. We are collecting information about QMB programs nationwide in order to provide you with the most relevant tools and resources, as well as to move the issue forward. Please share what you know about the QMB program in your state, and join us in this effort to help QMB-eligible beneficiaries.
