Let HAP's Issue Log Help You During AEP

How to Get Started!

To start logging issues now, please send an email to SHIPhelp@hapnetwork.org to receive a username and password for the issue collection tool. Please include the following information in your email:

  1. Your first and last name;
  2. The name of your organization;
  3. Your state and county; and
  4. Your role (i.e., SHIP director, coordinator, or counselor).

As the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) quickly approaches, HAP would like to remind you of a new tool to help manage your program during this busy time. As part of our "Troubleshooting Medicare" project, we have developed a web-based tool, known as the Issue Log, to help us identify the persistent and systemic issues affecting beneficiaries across the Medicare program.

We think that SHIP Directors will find the tool useful in other ways as well. The Issue Log can help you:

  • Identify training priorities for your program;
  • Record client issues in one place;
  • Track client issues over time; and
  • Identify emerging issues in your state

We've developed the following resources to help you get started:

We also encourage you to share this tool with your staff. If you have questions, please let us know at SHIPhelp@hapnetwork.org.

Sincerely,
The HAP Team
