Open Enrollment Period Toolkit Update

As the Annual Enrollment Period ends, another busy period begins — the Open Enrollment Period. To support your efforts during the OEP, HAP offers a toolkit, which contains fact sheets, charts, and guides to enrollment periods, transition policies, and more.

The 2010 OEP Toolkit will be updated the first week in January; check back here to access the updated version. In the meantime, here are some resources to assist you in the interim:

• Presentation: Limited Income Newly Eligible Transition Program (LI NET) provided by CMS

Also, as 2009 and another AEP draw to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done this past year on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. Because of the efforts of SHIP staff and volunteers, thousands of beneficiaries across the country can feel more confident that the plan choices they made during the AEP will serve them well in 2010.
