Are the medications that are classified as a part of Durable Medical Equipment covered under Medicare Part D?

Medications classified as necessary for the effective use of Durable Medical Equipment are currently covered under Medicare Part B.  The drugs and DME covered by Part B will continue to be covered by Part B.  Any uses for those drugs that are not covered under Part B, however, will be covered under Part D.
