Medicare Premiums and
Out-of Pocket Cost Sharing (2006)
On Friday, September 16, 2005, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that the Medicare Part B premium will rise to $88.50 a month in January of 2005. This is an increase of $10.30—13 percent—over the 2005 monthly Part B premium of $78.20. Medicare Part A deductibles and co-payments have also been increased for 2006.
